Websites for Cayman villa rentals
Stryx Collective builds websites for villa and vacation rental businesses in the Cayman Islands, working remotely from South Africa. Hospitality is its first focus industry. The aim is a site that takes direct enquiries and bookings, connects to the property management system and shows where each enquiry came from.
Direct bookings and platform commission
Booking platforms bring guests, and they charge commission on each booking. A villa business's own website is the one channel where a guest can enquire or book without that commission. For most rental businesses the two work side by side. The website's job is to win a larger share of bookings directly, especially from returning guests and referrals who already know the villas by name.

Connecting the website to the property system
A rental website should not run apart from the system that holds availability, rates and guest records. Stryx has built website integrations with two property management systems, Guesty and Hostaway. A website can be connected to almost any system, provided the system offers an API or another established way to connect.
With a connection in place, enquiries from the site can land in the property system against the right villa, so the reservations team does not retype them.
Keeping tracking when a guest enquires
It is easy to lose sight of where a guest came from once they send an enquiry or move into a booking flow. Stryx sets up tracking for enquiries, calls and bookings at launch, so the business can see which channels produce direct business and which do not.
Where the booking step runs on a separate booking engine, whether tracking survives the handover depends on the engine and what it allows. Sometimes it is lost, but not always.
There is a second problem, which is design. Booking engines limit design choices, so the booking step often looks and works worse than the well-designed website that led to it.
Working from South Africa
Stryx is based in Salt Rock, Ballito, South Africa, and works remotely. South Africa is 7 hours ahead of Cayman all year, and calls are arranged at a time that suits both parties. Ryan is open to travelling when the project and budget allow. Stryx can also source independent freelancers, such as a photographer or videographer, scoped into the project and arranged for the client.

Stryx works with these accommodation businesses:

Questions
Questions about Websites for Cayman villa rentals
Can't see yours? Ask Ryan directly and you'll get a straight answer, usually the same day.
Ask on WhatsAppCan the website connect to our property management system?
Stryx has built website integrations with Guesty and Hostaway. A website can be connected to almost any system, provided the system offers an API or another established way to connect.
Will a direct booking website replace the booking platforms?
Usually not. Most villa businesses keep the platforms and use their own site to take a larger share of bookings directly, without commission.
Do you photograph the villas?
Stryx can arrange it. It can source an independent freelancer, such as a photographer or videographer, scoped into the project and arranged for the client. Ryan is also open to travelling when the project and budget allow.
How long does a website take to build?
A typical website project takes about 6 to 8 weeks. Complexity, and how quickly content and feedback come back, can make it shorter or longer.
Do you only build in WordPress?
No. WordPress is the usual recommendation for sites that need custom functionality such as bookings, reservations or forms. Where another platform fits better, such as Shopify for e-commerce, Stryx recommends that.
Who owns the website when it is finished?
You do. Once the project is paid in full, the website and the visual elements created for you are yours.
How does payment work?
50% is paid up front and secures your place in the work queue. The remaining 50% is paid before launch.
Will my site rank on Google?
Every site Stryx builds can be indexed by search engines at launch. Rankings depend on many factors and no one can honestly guarantee them. Ongoing SEO is a separate service.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I rebuild my site?
Old URLs are mapped to the new structure and redirected at launch, which keeps the search visibility the old site had earned.
How do I keep track of the project?
You get a login to a client portal where you can see the stage the project is at and any tasks waiting on you.
What happens after launch?
Bugs that existed before launch are fixed at no extra charge. Hosting, backups, updates and content changes are covered by a website care plan.
