Stryx Collective is a web design and SEO consultancy based in Salt Rock, Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. We design and build websites, run SEO and Google Ads, and look after sites on monthly care plans for businesses across South Africa. You deal directly with founder Ryan Cumming, in person on the North Coast or by video call elsewhere.
A founder-led consultancy, not a volume agency
If you are looking for a digital agency in South Africa, we are a slightly different thing. Stryx Collective is a founder-led web design and SEO consultancy that has traded since 2019. You deal directly with Ryan Cumming, who has been building websites for 10 years and holds a BCom in Strategic Management.
South Africa is our home market. We work with businesses in every sector here, and the two industries we know best are hospitality and healthcare.
What we do for South African businesses
Each service has its own South African page:
- Websites. Every project starts with research into your goals, audience, keywords and competitors, and the platform is chosen to fit. See web design in South Africa.

We also connect websites to booking, property management and accounting systems. South African clients are quoted in rand.
Meeting in person and working remotely
We are based in Salt Rock and work remotely. If your business is anywhere from Ballito down to Umhlanga, we can meet in person when it helps. Everywhere else in the country we meet by video call, in the same time zone, and you follow the project in a client portal.
Support hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00 South African time.
Hosting and POPIA
You choose where your site is hosted: South Africa, Europe, the United Kingdom or the United States.
A website that takes enquiries or bookings handles personal information. Under POPIA you stay the responsible party and we act as your operator. The operator agreement is part of our service agreement. We can give you guidelines on what to have in place. Yes. We are based in Salt Rock, Ballito, and work remotely with businesses across South Africa. In-person meetings are possible from Ballito down to Umhlanga. Everywhere else we meet by video call.
