Stryx Collective works remotely with US businesses from Salt Rock, Ballito, in South Africa. We design and build websites, provide SEO consulting and maintain WordPress sites on monthly care plans. We are six or seven hours ahead of US Eastern time, so our support hours fall in your morning.
The time difference comes first
We are not a US web design agency. Stryx Collective is a web design and SEO consultancy based in Salt Rock, Ballito, South Africa. Before anything else, a US business should know when we are at work.
South Africa is 6 hours ahead of US Eastern time in the US summer and 7 hours ahead in winter. Our support hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00 South African time. On Eastern time that is:
- 2:00 to 11:00 am in summer
- 1:00 to 10:00 am in winter
The overlap gets shorter the farther west you are. Calls are arranged at a time that suits both of us, and we aim to respond to requests promptly. If you need someone on hand through the US afternoon, a provider in your own time zone will suit you better.

- Web design for US businesses. You work directly with our founder, Ryan Cumming, follow the project in a client portal and review the site on a staging server before launch.
- SEO consulting for US businesses. Site fundamentals first, AI search second, reported on inquiries, calls and bookings.
- WordPress care plans for US businesses. Three plans, Hosting, Premium and Pro, month to month with 30 days' written notice.
Vacation rentals and hotels

Medical practices and HIPAA
Healthcare is our second focus industry. We can build a site to HIPAA requirements where a practice needs it. That takes added infrastructure, so it is usually quoted at an extra cost. You choose the hosting region, and the United States is one of the options. The others are Europe, the United Kingdom and South Africa.

We work with Kalama Performance, a foilboard and paddleboard business in Hawaii. Most of our overseas clients come to us by referral.
Getting started
US work is quoted in US dollars. A quote follows an initial discussion, and work starts once the agreement is signed and the invoice is paid. Ryan is open to traveling when the project and budget allow.
