Websites, SEO and Google Ads for contractors, trades and solar companies

We build contractor websites, run local SEO and manage Google Ads for builders, trades, borehole drillers and solar installers. Your customers search when they need someone now, usually on a phone and nearby. We make sure you show up first, look trustworthy and get the call or quote request.

Why trade and construction websites lose work

Most people looking for a builder, plumber, electrician, solar installer or borehole driller are on their phone, close by and ready to act. They tap the first few results, glance at each site for a few seconds and call whoever looks most reliable. A slow site, a hidden phone number or a gallery with no context sends them straight to the next result.

The businesses that win these searches are rarely the biggest. They are the ones whose website and Google Business Profile answer three questions fast: do you do this job, do you work in my area, and can I trust you with my home or site?

What we build for contractors

  • A website that turns visits into quote requests Click-to-call and WhatsApp on every page, a short quote form, and the areas you cover stated plainly. See our web design service.
  • A page for each service you want to sell Separate pages for roofing, renovations, solar installation, borehole drilling or electrical work rank better than one page that lists everything, and they let your ads land on the exact job someone searched for.
  • Project pages with real proof Before-and-after photos, the problem, what you did and where, so a stranger can see work like theirs.
  • Trust markers that matter in the trade Registrations and accreditations, guarantees, insurance, reviews and the people who will turn up on site.

Local SEO for builders and trades

For most contractors, the map results matter more than anything else on Google. We set up and maintain your Google Business Profile, build out your service and area pages, keep your business details consistent across directories and help you collect reviews steadily. That is the core of local SEO, and it keeps bringing in calls long after the work is done.

We also make sure AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews have the facts they need to recommend you when someone asks who to call. Read more about AI search optimisation.

Google Ads for contractors

When you need work this month, Google Ads puts you at the top of the page for searches like "emergency plumber near me" or "solar installer quote". We keep campaigns tight to the areas you serve and the jobs you want, exclude the searches that waste budget, and track calls and form submissions so you can see the cost of each enquiry, not just clicks. Proper conversion tracking comes first, before any money is spent.

Solar, energy and borehole companies

Solar and water businesses sell a considered purchase: customers compare systems, ask about payback and want to know you will still be around for the warranty. Their sites need clear explanations of each system, honest guidance on cost, a simple way to request a site assessment, and case studies with real installations. We build those pages and point SEO at the questions buyers ask before they call.

Who we work with

Our clients in this sector include builders, maintenance companies, solar installers and borehole drillers, among them Ultra Boreholes, Soltra Energy, Luciana Construction and Goliath Maintenance. Every project is run by Ryan Cumming, the founder, from first call to launch.

After launch

A contractor's website needs fresh projects and quick fixes, not a redesign every two years. Our website care plans cover hosting, updates, backups and small changes, so adding a finished project or a new service area takes a message, not a quote.

Questions

Questions about working with us

Ask on WhatsApp
How much does a contractor website cost?

It depends on how many services and areas you want pages for and whether you need extras like a quote calculator. Most contractor sites we build are a focused set of service, area and project pages rather than a large site. We quote after an initial discussion to understand the scope, in your currency.

Do I need SEO or Google Ads to get more calls?

Google Ads brings calls within days but stops when you stop paying. Local SEO takes a few months to build but keeps working. Many contractors run ads for steady work while SEO grows, then reduce ad spend once the map and organic results bring in enough enquiries.

Can you help us rank in the Google map results?

Yes. Ranking in the map pack depends mostly on your Google Business Profile, your distance from the searcher, consistent business details across the web and a steady flow of reviews. We set up and manage all of that, alongside service and area pages on your website.

We cover several towns. Do we need a page for each?

A page for each main area you serve helps, as long as each one says something useful: the jobs you do there, local projects and how quickly you can get there. Thin copies of the same page with the town name swapped do more harm than good, so we only build area pages we can make genuinely useful.

Do you work with solar installers and borehole companies?

Yes. Solar and water businesses sell a bigger, more considered purchase, so their sites need clear system explanations, honest cost guidance, case studies and an easy way to book a site assessment. We build those pages and run search campaigns aimed at people ready for a quote.

Who owns the website and the Google accounts?

You do. The domain, website, Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Analytics accounts are set up in your name. We work in them with access you grant, and you keep everything if you ever move on.
