SEO & AI Search Optimisation

AI SEO: getting found in ChatGPT and AI answers

AI search optimisation is the work of getting a business found and mentioned in answers from tools such as ChatGPT. It is also called generative engine optimisation (GEO) or answer engine optimisation (AEO). Stryx Collective does it in two steps: get the core SEO fundamentals right, then give AI models the information they need in a form that is easy to digest.

Step one: the SEO fundamentals

AI models have to find you before they can mention you, and they find you through search results. If your pages do not show up there, the models have nothing to work with.

So AI search work at Stryx starts with ordinary SEO: pages built correctly, one topic per page and content worth reading. Skipping this step and going straight to AI tactics does not work.

Step two: make the site easy for a model to use

Once the fundamentals are in place, the site is optimised to hand AI models what they need:

  • A summary at the top of each page The answer comes first, in plain sentences that make sense on their own.
  • Questions and answers The questions people really ask, each with a direct answer.
  • Clear facts about the business What you do, where you work and who you serve, stated the same way everywhere.
  • Structured data Schema markup, so the business, its services and its pages are described in a form machines read reliably.

This website is built the same way. Every page opens with a short summary and most end with questions and answers.

What this is not

It is not a separate trick that replaces SEO. The same pages serve both search engines and AI models, and the work that helps one helps the other. Be wary of anyone selling AI search as a shortcut around the fundamentals.

Where to start

If you want to know how AI tools describe your business today, start with an AI visibility audit. It shows where you are mentioned, where competitors are mentioned instead, and what to fix first.

Who this suits

  • Businesses whose customers research before they buy, and increasingly ask an AI tool to do that research
  • Service businesses that want to be the name an AI answer recommends in their area or niche
  • Sites that already rank in Google but are not being mentioned in AI answers

How it works

How it runs

  1. 01

    Check the fundamentals

Make sure the site can be found, crawled and understood in ordinary search.

  2. 02

    See where you stand

Test the questions your customers ask AI tools and note who gets mentioned.

  3. 03

    Restructure the pages

Summaries first, questions and answers, consistent facts and structured data.

  4. 04

    Fill the gaps

Write the pages and answers that are missing.

  5. 05

    Re-check

Run the same questions again and adjust.

Questions

Questions about AI SEO: getting found in ChatGPT and AI answers

Can't see yours? Ask Ryan directly and you'll get a straight answer, usually the same day.

Ask on WhatsApp
How do I show up in ChatGPT?

Get the core SEO fundamentals right first, because AI models need to find you in the search results. Then optimise your site to give those models the information they need in an easy-to-digest form, such as summaries at the top of pages and questions and answers.

Is AI search optimisation different from SEO?

It builds on SEO. The fundamentals are the same, and the extra work is in how information is laid out on the page so a model can pick it up easily.

What are GEO and AEO?

Generative engine optimisation and answer engine optimisation. Both are names for getting your business found and mentioned in AI-generated answers.

Can you guarantee my business will be mentioned by AI tools?

No. As with search rankings, no one can honestly guarantee it.

Do I need a separate AI strategy?

Not a separate one. The same pages serve search engines and AI tools. What changes is how clearly each page answers the question it is about.
