Google Ads Audit

A Google Ads audit is a review of an existing account that shows where the budget goes, whether results are being tracked correctly and what is wasting money. Stryx Collective audits the tracking, campaign structure, keywords, ads and landing pages, and sets out the findings in plain language with the fixes in priority order.

When an audit makes sense

  • You spend on Google Ads but cannot say how many enquiries or sales it brings
  • Costs have risen and results have not
  • The account was set up by someone who has since moved on
  • You are about to hand the account to a new agency, or take it in-house
  • You want a second opinion before increasing the budget

What the audit covers

  • Conversion tracking Whether the right actions are tracked, counted once and linked to Analytics. This is where most accounts go wrong, and every other finding depends on it.
  • Account ownership and access Whether the account sits in your name and who has access.
  • Campaign structure Whether campaigns and ad groups are organised so ads match searches and budget can be controlled.
  • Keywords and search terms The searches you actually pay for, and how much goes on ones that never convert.
  • Negative keywords Whether irrelevant searches are being excluded.
  • Ads and assets Whether the ads match the searches and use the assets available.
  • Bidding and budget Whether the bid strategy suits the amount of conversion data the account has.
  • Landing pages Whether the pages ads send people to are relevant, fast and built to convert.

How findings are set out

Each finding explains what is happening, why it matters and what to change. Recommendations are ranked by priority, so the fixes that save the most budget or bring the most enquiries come first.

After the audit

You can make the changes yourself, hand them to your current agency, or have Stryx take over the account as part of Google Ads management. The account stays in your name either way.

What the audit needs

Read access to your Google Ads account, and to Analytics and Tag Manager where you use them. Nothing in the account is changed during the audit.

Questions

Questions about Google Ads Audit

Can't see yours? Ask Ryan directly and you'll get a straight answer, usually the same day.

Ask on WhatsApp
What is a Google Ads audit?

A review of an existing Google Ads account that shows where the budget goes, whether conversions are tracked correctly and what to change.

Will you change anything in my account?

No. The audit only needs read access, and nothing is changed while it is done.

What is the most common problem you find?

Conversion tracking that is missing, duplicated or counting the wrong thing. Without accurate tracking, no other decision in the account can be trusted.

Do I have to hire you afterwards?

No. You can make the changes yourself or give them to your current agency.

What access do you need?

Read access to Google Ads, and to Analytics and Tag Manager if you use them.

  • More enquiries you can trace. You'll see which search, page or ad brought in each call, booking and form.

  • Higher in search results. On Google, in the map results and in AI answers, for the searches your customers make.

  • One person to talk to. Ryan answers on WhatsApp and sends a plain-language report on results every month.
