Websites for clinics and healthcare practices in Cayman

Stryx Collective designs websites for medical clinics and healthcare practices in the Cayman Islands, working remotely from South Africa. Healthcare is one of its two focus industries. Each site is built to explain treatments clearly, make booking or enquiring easy, and be found by residents and by patients travelling for care.

What a clinic website has to do

A clinic website has three jobs.

  • Explain treatments clearly Each treatment or service gets its own page, written in plain language, so a patient can understand what is offered before making contact.
  • Make booking or enquiring easy The route to a booking or an enquiry should be obvious from every page, on a phone as well as a desktop. Clinic sites are mostly built on WordPress, depending on the use case and need.
  • Be found A Cayman clinic may have two kinds of patient: residents looking for care nearby, and patients travelling to the islands for care. They search in different ways, and the site structure has to serve both. Ongoing SEO, including work on the clinic's own Google Business Profile, is a separate monthly service.

Tracking for enquiries, calls and bookings is set up at launch, so the clinic can see what the site produces.

Clinical wording is approved by the clinic

The clinic approves all clinical wording. Stryx can also research and write the copy, which the clinic then verifies and signs off before it goes live. Projects run with staged approvals so that nothing goes live without sign-off.

On healthcare regulation and advertising rules, Stryx can give guidelines on what a clinic should look for and have in place. It makes no warranty that a site will be compliant. Clinics should consult their own legal counsel.

Working remotely with a clinic

Stryx is based in Salt Rock, Ballito, South Africa, and works remotely. South Africa is 7 hours ahead of Cayman all year, and calls are arranged at a time that suits both parties. The clinic deals directly with Ryan Cumming, the founder, and follows the project in a client portal.

Clients

Stryx works with two healthcare businesses in the Cayman Islands:

  • Novo Clinic, a multi-specialty clinic in George Town, Grand Cayman
  • TitanMed, a medical device supplier in George Town, Grand Cayman

How it works

How a website project runs

Ryan Cumming runs the first call, plans the site and builds it.

You can follow the project in a client portal. When a stage needs your input, a task is assigned to you there.

The process can change to suit the project. Where it does, the changes are set out in your proposal.

  1. 01

    Discovery

Business goals, target audience, keyword research, competitor and market research, content gaps, user experience and technical requirements.

  2. 02

    Site architecture

A visual sitemap of every page and how the pages connect.

  3. 03

    UX design

Wireframes that set the layout and flow of each page before any visual design.

  4. 04

    Outlining and copywriting

Each page is outlined and its copy written.

  5. 05

    UI design

The visual design, and a design system so the site stays consistent as it grows.

  6. 06

    Development

A responsive build on a staging server, with performance, integrations and SEO best practice built in.

  7. 07

    Launch

Browser and screen testing, image optimisation and technical SEO checks, then the site goes live on your domain.

Questions

Questions about Websites for clinics and healthcare practices in Cayman

Can't see yours? Ask Ryan directly and you'll get a straight answer, usually the same day.

Ask on WhatsApp
Does Stryx work with clinics in Cayman in person?

The work is done remotely. Stryx is based in Salt Rock, Ballito, South Africa. Calls are arranged at a time that suits both parties, and Ryan is open to travelling when the project and budget allow.

Who checks that the medical content is accurate and allowed?

The clinic does. The clinic approves all clinical wording before it goes live. Stryx can also research and write the copy, which the clinic then verifies and signs off. Stryx can give guidelines on what a clinic should look for and have in place, but it makes no warranty that a site will be compliant. Clinics should consult their own legal counsel.

Can the site reach patients travelling to Cayman for care?

It can be planned for them. Patients abroad search differently from residents, so the research stage identifies both sets of searches and the site is structured to serve each.

How long does a website take to build?

A typical website project takes about 6 to 8 weeks. Complexity, and how quickly content and feedback come back, can make it shorter or longer.

Do you only build in WordPress?

No. WordPress is the usual recommendation for sites that need custom functionality such as bookings, reservations or forms. Where another platform fits better, such as Shopify for e-commerce, Stryx recommends that.

Who owns the website when it is finished?

You do. Once the project is paid in full, the website and the visual elements created for you are yours.

How does payment work?

50% is paid up front and secures your place in the work queue. The remaining 50% is paid before launch.

Will my site rank on Google?

Every site Stryx builds can be indexed by search engines at launch. Rankings depend on many factors and no one can honestly guarantee them. Ongoing SEO is a separate service.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I rebuild my site?

Old URLs are mapped to the new structure and redirected at launch, which keeps the search visibility the old site had earned.

How do I keep track of the project?

You get a login to a client portal where you can see the stage the project is at and any tasks waiting on you.

What happens after launch?

Bugs that existed before launch are fixed at no extra charge. Hosting, backups, updates and content changes are covered by a website care plan.
